On Thursday 20th February 2014 we will be looking at transport in our city with a particular focus on active travel. Guest speaker Mark Irwin will join us from Future City | Glasgow to look at active travel and investigate how Citizen Science and people power can help pave the way for improvements to infrastructure to help Glasgow as a whole become more active and drive down carbon emissions.
The Bike Station will be on hand with information about a whole host of services they have, to help you find a Better Way to Work. You will be able to sign up on the night to access free training and other schemes.
Glasgow University Environmental Sustainability Team (GUEST) will be there too, offering advice on sustainable transport.
There will be a series of short films from 7pm to 8pm on Thursday 20th of February 2014 followed by Mark’s talk and discussion, with time at the end and during the tea break to talk to The Bike Station and GUEST. The evening will finish at 9pm. The event is being held at; Yudowitz Seminar Room 1, Wolfson Medical School Building, University of Glasgow,University Avenue, G12 8QQ.
